Step into a world where every suit is a season, and every card tells a story. Inspired by those dazzling Meiji‑era tea‑crate labels that once shipped Japan’s finest leaves to the West, suit symbols borrow the crisp elegance of kamon (family crests), while each card face springs to life with a cheeky yōkai from Japanese legend.

Night Parade is the debut deck by British-Japanese illustrator Nanami Takeuchi, known online as Nanasometimesdraws. Based in London, she “draws, crafts and loves her cat Bonito.

If you love art, folklore, and a dash of the supernatural, collect Night Parade to journey through the spirits and culture of Japan!

“I wanted to share the playfulness of Japanese folklore through these cards. Designing and researching for this project was very fun, especially when it came to choosing which monster would be a king or queen, as some of these critters unconsciously emit Queen/ King energy. Hope you enjoy discovering all these characters!”
