An Update on Flick Solitaire’s Availability in Russia

Hello Flickers,

This is a short statement from the Flick team about the availability of our game in Russia.

Flick Solitaire has always been art-first. It’s a cosy, calming game where every win can surprise you with a new deck from an indie artist - celebrating our beautiful differences and giving more people representation in games. That won’t ever change.

In late October, Flick’s Pride decks were cited in a state takedown demand to the various game platforms from the Russian Government. Steam removed Flick Solitaire from the Russian Steam store without prior notice or a chance for us to discuss it. Flick remains available on iOS and Android in Russia for now. We’re grateful to partners who continue to support the game, and we hope platforms are transparent with developers when decisions like this are made.

We’re heartbroken for our Russian community (LGBTQ+ or otherwise), for our artists, and for players who lose access to the authentic diversity reflected in our game.

We don’t pick and choose between human beings - the place they were born, who they love, or how they identify. We support artists and players everywhere. Flick will keep being a platform for gorgeous, diverse art and people.

Where Flick is available right now

  • iOS App Store - worldwide, including Russia

  • Google Play - worldwide, including Russia

If anything changes, we’ll update you here.

A quick word to players

We’ll keep supporting indie artists and putting gorgeous, diverse art in your hands for you to play and collect. We won’t be silent - our solitaire stands for so much more than that.

For players in Russia, Flick is still on iOS and Android right now. Our wider community is with you.
